Spring?

Hey 2 people who still even care if I post on here.. .how are ya?

Life out here has been kinda weird lately it keeps warming up and then snowing the next day like the weather can't make up its mind
half the time its like this (pay no attention to the face i'm making its totally normal)

and then it ends up like crazy snowy and cold like it is outside right now, half the time I have to dress totally warm in the morning before work because the weather shifts so quickly...

Its the off season here so I've just been kinda hangin out at home reading a lot in the sweet sun room we have

The stuff on the plate is an amazing carnitas breakfast quesadilla that I made with some ingredients from Zocalito and home... weirdly really good with a black french roast coffee (never tried it with anything else but I bet it would be good too)

Since its off season we've been hangin out a lot at people's houses, I kinda wish we had been doin this all winter but wutevs, big dinner things with everybody bringin a dish or something. Sometimes it even turns into a costume party :D

I just thought that picture was awesome haha. Thats Doug and we're at our friends Steve and Anna's apartment at a post Easter dinner. (didn't realize that I missed having a honey baked ham for easter till that meal!!)

Had  a few awesome days snowboarding before the end of the season, my last trip with my roomate Jesse was crazy awesome. We went up to the top of Snowmass and hit up some sweet powder caches even though it hadn't snowed in a while. Really wish I had gotten some pics of the top because it was incredible. It was super windy so snow was blowing all over the place and we were above the tree line so I felt like we were in the arctic or something. We went up there a couple of times that day and the first time we stopped in at the SkiPatrol hut and I felt like we were on the edge of civilization taking our last break before stepping off into the wilderness.

Besides that I really haven't done anything crazy... Zocalito has been really slow for the past 2 months so I've just been workin the Gap which is cool but I've kinda had to cut waaay back on the fun times so just hiking in the warm days and huddled in the house for the cold ones.

Life in the shadow of Ajax

Well hai thar... its been awhile huh? I was just makin this fire cuz our heater stopped working last night yay! plus our kitchen hot water pipes have been frozen for the past two days so we have like a mountain of dishes...

Life here has been pretty sweet I'm working at the Gap and at a restaurant named Zocalito. The Gap is fun because I get to interact with people and see the waves of tourists that come through. Zocalito is fun cuz I get to work in a kitchen which is sweeet mainly just washing dishes but I'm learning how to do prep stuff and a few dishes.

I couldn't ask for a better house (people and actual building) to be living in. The fire is in the other fireplace cuz the room that has that chimney stays freezing even when the heater works :(

My room probably looks familiar to my parents... doesn't matter what part of the country I'm in, the dang room is gonna be messy.. heh.

Aspen as a town is pretty cool its kinda small but because there is so much tourism here you have all the advantages of a sort of city with the fine dining and shopping but not the uber fast pace and all the people. Plus the draw for big bands makes goin to shows here really fun. Saw Marchfourth Marching Band play when I first got here and then just saw the Reverend Horton Heat last week that was a crazy show... crazy, not at all what I expected from rockabilly.

Besides that I haven't been doin much cuz I'm kinda running low on $$ cuz I kept getting sick this month. Mainly just chillin at the house or at Zocalito. I hope some of you (if anybody is reading this anymore haha) come out to visit, I gots a couch, its comfy.
